The Plymouth Tapestry
Read about the commemoration of the story of the Pilgrims landing in North America in 1620. This article, from the December 2018 Needle Arts magazine, tells about the designers and creators of The Plymouth Tapestry, a narrative in needlework. Inspired by the famous Bayeux tapestry, this work in progress recounts the history of Plymouth from the colonial perspective as well as that of the Native Wampanonag people. It will include 20 six-foot panels, all being stitched and assembled at the designer’s 17th century home in Plymouth.
