On Friday December 13th a few members from the Mohawk Valley Embroiderers guild dropped off a little Christmas cheer to a local women’s shelter. During the year members brought in shampoo and personal items for the residents of the house. These items were so graciously received by the staff:
Shawntell greeted us so warmly – we arrived a few minutes after a local car dealership brought in a dozen micro wave ovens and 3 flat screen TV’s!
This sign on the wall really left us all thinking about the powerful truth in it’s words:
We left feeling like we were really appreciated and our gift was a great gift, we also talked to the director about setting up some basic lessons in sewing and quilting!
