I don’t know about you,, but things that are scheduled for the first of the month on my calendar always come as a surprise. This meeting is no exception. Our October meeting will be on Monday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m. As usual, the doors will open at 9:30 and there will be a Sit and Stitch after the meeting and the program.
The program will consist of our “not to be missed” Opportunity Sale. Donate, browse, buy! All proceeds help MVEGA defray operating costs. If you can come early with your donations, we will be able to set up quickly and proceed with our meeting promptly at 10:30. I will make sure we have a short meeting so that you can all spend your time browsing through the patterns, magazines, and needlework supplies that will be available.
This will also be your last opportunity to reserve a spot at the annual St. Margaret’s retreat, taking place from October 4-6. There is also still an opportunity to sign up for Elizabeth Naculich’s November ornament program.
This is a busy, friendly, talented group of women who share a love for all things created using needles, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate. I listen to a podcast called Fiber Talk and their introduction varies by the hosts’ mood. Sometimes it is “for all those who create art with needle and thread” and other times it is “for all those who stab fabric with needles”. Whichever mood you are in, plan on joining in the fun on Monday, October 1.
