Hello Members and Friends,
We have an exciting first half of the upcoming new year program planned. Starting out on the First Monday of January: Winter Stitching with your friends. We will start the new year stitching up a storm at Joann’s Fabric Store in New Hartford. The New Hartford Library is not taking any RSVP until they have hired a new director for the library. If anyone else has a suggestion- please forward to the president or newsletter editor.
Note: Remember if it is snowing and the schools are closed, please do not attempt to go to our stitching session. We want everyone safe this winter season.
February will be a busy month with the Annual Stitch in Public Day on February 6th– make plans to promote your needlework for everyone to enjoy. First Monday of the month meeting will be with Susan teaching everyone a new Counted Thread Valentine Design. Members will need to bring fabric, thread, and sewing supplies to complete this project. Just in time to give to your favorite love one.
March on over to this meeting and learn from our very own President Sally about English Paper Piecing. I heard this can be very much relaxing and enjoyable. Don’t forget to bring your usually sewing accessories to the meeting.
Hopefully, spring will has sprung up in April here in NY to greet everyone with a welcome change in learning about German Hemstitching. We are ordering the books from Germany, and will be getting everyone the supply list to complete this project.
After spring showers, May flowers will be in bloom as we learn about Mountmellick Needlework with a special speaker and program. This is one program you don’t want to miss.
Then we will end our 2015-2016 years with our Annual June Luncheon. Yum!
More details to come….. that’s all folk for now. Mark your calendars for the next six month. Have a Happy Christmas and See YOU in the New Year! Really- already 2016!!
