Stitching Plans start in August

Wow!  What a great turnout we had this pass week at the New Hartford Library with our Annual Stitching Discussion with our July Meeting.  The new board is making plans for this upcoming year- and we will be starting out in August with a sample workshop on Whitework.

Quite a few members have expressed an interest in whitework and currently five members are taking the “White Iris” Group Correspondence Course. Starting in August, we will feature the buttonhole stitch, using it to fill in a curved leaf or petal shape.  All materials will be provided, but please bring light or magnification if needed.

We are ending this past year with our adventure in beading.  Some of our members are diving into a lighting round study with A Frenzy of Fringes  this summer. Looking forward to seeing some beautiful beading sampler by the end of the year.

Our next meeting is August 3, 2015 starting around 9:30- until ???? at   St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.   We have too much fun to actually place a ending time.  Could end at noon or at 2pm. Stop by and visit us! We are a very friendly group and enjoy meeting new individuals.

Until next time- Have a fun Summer and Stitch on……
